Michael Hazell
Director
Michael graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws. He began his legal career with Rigby Cooke before moving to Phillips Fox where he was appointed Senior Associate.
Prior to establishing Kelly Hazell Lawyers, Michael completed approximately 18 months on secondment with Toyota Australia as an in-house lawyer.
Michael is a commercial litigator of significant experience with a particular focus on trade practices, contractual disputes and insolvency. More recently, Michael has developed a strong general commercial law practice.
Michael advises small, medium and large sized enterprises on a variety of general corporate, litigation, corporate governance, advertising and trade practices issues. He also advises advertising agencies and marketing departments on the legal risks that might flow from a particular marketing or advertising campaign and has experience in many aspects of sports, sponsorship, media and entertainment law.
Michael's clients have included companies in manufacturing, retailing and wholesaling. He has also acted for administrators, liquidators, and regulators.
