David Kelly

David graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry). He began his legal career in commercial dispute resolution with Clayton Utz in Perth before joining the corporate and commercial team at Phillips Fox in Melbourne, where he was appointed Senior Associate.
Before establishing Kelly Hazell Lawyers, David worked with Toyota Australia for three years as an in-house corporate solicitor.
David is a general commercial lawyer with more than 7 years experience providing legal services to a diverse range of medium and large sized business clients.
David has presented trade practices education courses to corporate executives and implemented trade practices and privacy compliance programs within large corporations. He has also advised advertising agencies and marketing departments on the legal risks that might flow from a particular marketing or advertising campaign.
David's proactive and commercially focused approach to providing legal services assists his clients to implement major projects and carry out strategic decisions in ways which ensure that legal and commercial risks are identified and managed.
